Lex Autolease largest to choose 1link Hire Network platform
Lex Autolease has just signed up to the 1link Hire Network e-commerce platform, the rental services software developed by epyx. The vehicle lessor thus becomes the largest customer to date for the platform, the automotive software solutions provider said.
The 1link product links fleet buyers and suppliers of car and van daily rental online in real time, and is expected to further improve Lex Autolease’s rental services – which will include much faster, more accurate processing of orders and improved customer service levels.
Ian Drayton, senior manager of car and van rental at Lex Autolease, said: “We’ve had a relationship with epyx for some time and benefited from packages such as maintenance and downtime management software, but were now looking to work more closely with a select group of high performing suppliers and extend the benefits of their services to more of our customers.
“1link Hire Network fits perfectly into this category and we will be introducing a larger number of customers to the platform over the coming months.”
The IT specialist explained that its platform enables real time online access to multi-supplier quotations and hire pricing, as well as online order validation and detailed order tracking.
Epyx head of business development Ken Trinder added: “1link Hire Network has been gaining momentum over the last year with several major leasing companies signing up to the platform. However, Lex Autolease is the largest and this deal is sure to generate a new level of interest in the product and its benefits.”
