The majority of people in the UK would rather use a car than public transport out of convenience, while many would find the money to run a car even on no income, according to the latest survey from Car Loan 4U.
The web-specialising motor finance broker has reported, of 2,000 people surveyed in February, 71% use a car because they find it more convenient than using public transport.

Nearly a quarter of respondents, 24%, would find a way to run their car even if they had low or zero income. Although 42% acknowledged running a car was likely to be the more expensive option, 36% said they would still use their car if public transport was evidently cheaper.
Ryan Dignan, co-director of Car Loan 4U, said: "The annual costs of travelling in the UK are constantly rising, whether you’re running a car or using public transport.
"However, for those who can drive, personal convenience and safety appears to play a huge role in the decision-making process when it comes to buying a car."
Previously, Car Loan 4U reported a minority of motorists wanted to see the national speed limit increased to 80mph.
