VW entered the survey to benchmark itself
against the likes of Microsoft (6th), Nike
(20th) and Ikea (25th).
The survey is based on metrics from 10 million
employees across 45 countries and 5,500 organisations, with staff
asked to asses the credibility, respect, fairness, pride and
camaraderie of a workplace. Both VWFS and Group scored particularly
highly in areas of camaraderie, workplace culture and pride.
The large employer category was dominated by
financial services and insurance this year with Admiral Group in
top spot and Capital One Europe second.
Fiona Roberts, human resources director at
both VWFS and VW Group in the UK, explained those at VW “work hard
to make sure we provide the right conditions and environment” but
“as well as telling us what we’re good at, the survey also tells us
what we need to do better.”
