ACF Car Finance marketing manager Jane Whittle
has been nominated by the Institute of Fundraising for a National
Payroll Giving Excellence Award.

Whittle, who is one of five contenders for the
award, has been recognised for her fundraising for automotive
industry charity BEN and for the Hospice of Good Shepherds in
Chester. She has been skydiving, ridden a 750-foot zip-wire from
Manchester’s Imperial War Museum and abseiled down a Leeds office
block, all in support of BEN.

Whittle said: “Although I’m really looking
forward to the awards ceremony in London next month, I don’t think
I would be making the journey if it hadn’t been for everyone who
works here at ACF.  The management at The Funding Corporation
are incredibly supportive of charity work, and have a very generous
policy of doubling up all the money raised for donations.”

In June, the
Institute of Fundraising commended ACF
for allowing staff a
paid day’s leave each year to work for BEN or another charitable
organisation.
