Vehicle data provider CAP has launched a
bespoke research, analysis and reporting service for major clients,
to be known as CAP Automotive Intelligence Services.

The new service was created following CAP’s
growth in customised research for certain customers. Comprehensive
reports have been provided to a number of car manufacturers, aimed
at helping them to launch of new models in the UK.

It is to be headed by Mark Norman, drawing on
knowledge across the CAP business, such as current and future
vehicle values and new vehicle data. Norman has more than 30 years’
experience in the industry.

The service covers the sectors of the market
in which CAP has relevant expertise, including cars, light
commercial vehicles, trucks and motorcycles. Examples of work
undertaken include car model launch reports, pre-launch studies,
and specialist residual values studies.

CAP general manager Ian Rendle said: “We are
experiencing a growing demand from many sectors – and car
manufacturers in particular – for fully independent insight and
expert assistance, which CAP Automotive Intelligence Services is
able to fulfil.

“We have always delivered customised reports
to clients but the formal creation of a specific service marks an
important new step for CAP.”
