More than a third (35%) of drivers don’t know what the drink-drive limit is, according to research conducted by the online finance broker Car Loan 4U.
Other findings from the research showed that, while drivers may not know the limit, many were prepared to stop fellow drivers from driving if they believed were over the limit, and only a small percentage were willing to drive themselves.

A quarter of those surveyed had actively stopped someone who was near or over the limit from driving at Christmas, but, among the same drivers, 18% knew someone who drove regularly while under the influence.
Just 2% of drivers would also be willing to drive themselves if they believed they were over the limit this Christmas.
Ryan Dignan, director of Car Loan 4U, said: "Drink driving at any time of the year is completely reckless, but to see the results of our survey revealing that some motorists would take a risk being near the legal limit this Christmas is shocking."
"It adds plenty of weight behind the need to inform people that they are not only playing with their lives, but the lives of other drivers on the road." He added.
