Vehicles worth a total of £4,791,995 were recovered in April under the Finance & Leasing Association Vehicle Recovery Scheme, almost double the value of April the previous year.
Although the value of total recoveries dropped 6.5% from March this year, the figure continues at its elevated level since the Metropolitan Police Service joined the scheme, which is run in conjunction with the ACPO Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service and HPI CrushWatch.
