An awards scheme judged by the Trinity Mirror newspaper group and sponsored by Scottish Power has commended The Funding Corporation as ‘local heroes’ for its charity work over the past year.
The eight-member charity committee which is headed by Jane Whittle at finance provider The Funding Corporation, including its dealer group subsidiary ACF Car Finance, was cited for its payroll contribution scheme and other efforts which are on course to raise £5,000 by Christmas for a local hospice and automotive charity BEN.

The ‘local heroes’ award follows a platinum award for ACF from the Institute of Fundraising in June including a personal nomination for Whittle.
Charity appears to be prevalent in the area, as well as across the industry, with fellow Cheshire company Car Loan 4U sponsoring a calendar to raise funds for the Prader Willi Syndrome Association, Frontline Solutions’ awards dinner auction collecting £11,085 for Childflight and Richard Hoggart, managing director of DSG Financial Services calling on brokers to get behind BEN.
