Collections and dealership auditing firm Anglia UK has appointed a head of operations.

Claire Mitchell joins the company with thirty years of experience in the vehicle finance industry having previously worked at a senior level for Lombard Asset Finance, RBS and The Car Finance Company. Prior to joining Anglia, Mitchell was head of customer operations for Go Car Credit.

Mitchell’s appointment follows that of Lyn Danaher and Duane Snelling earlier this year as director of operations & compliance and sales director respectively.

In July, Anglia UK hired Nathan Keegan as business development manager.  Prior to joining Anglia he was responsible for sales at the VW Group’s MAN Heavy Truck Division.

Mitchell said: “I have worked with Anglia many times during my career and have always been impressed with their high level of service and ability to deliver results. The opportunity to join the team was too good to miss and I am very much looking forward to learning more about the business and helping further improve performance.”

Anglia’s managing director, Mark Scotney, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Claire to the team. Much of our success over the last 21 years has been down to recruiting the best talent in the industry and Claire’s appointment further underlines this commitment to quality. I am sure she will be a great asset to the team.”

When Scotney spoke to Leasing Life in September, he remained positive about changes in the collection industry and the relationship with asset finance providers: “We represent an enormous number of very well-known, global brands who make a great deal of effort to ensure that they represent their customers in the way that they are expected to.

“As a consequence, we need to make sure that we do the same. If you actually look at the amount of times that you get a third-party being entrusted with the level of responsibility that we’re given, I think it is fairly rare in the collections environment.”
