Simon Henstock, BCA’s UK operations director, commented: "Everybody at BCA got right behind this fundraising initiative for BEN and we were delighted to raise such a substantial sum for this most worthy of causes."
Lex Autolease, the fleet and leasing subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group, followed a similar theme with more than 1,500 staff involved in ‘headmistress’-coordinated activities such as a tuck shop, tug-of-wars and hula hoop contests.
Jo Jones, regional development manager at BEN, said the charity was "extremely grateful" for the efforts of Lex Autolease, whose "generosity of spirit combined with creativity is a credit to the teams and the company as a whole.
"We would be delighted to help other companies use fundraising for BEN as a springboard to team building and helping to encourage creative thinking."
