Motor industry charity BEN recently welcomed a team of
volunteers from Black Horse Motor Finance to its Lynwood care
centre near Ascot, for a day of gardening, maintenance and
interaction with residents of the centre.

The volunteers came from all over the country and the day was
arranged by Richard Williams, Black Horse’s senior manager of
credit sanctioning.

Williams commented that the day had provided
an opportunity for workers in the motor finance business to get a
better knowledge of their industry charity, adding “Thanks to all
at BEN for their organisation and support which really made it a
special day for us – and kept us very busy. Most of all though,
thank you for helping us to gain a greater understanding of the
excellent work that BEN does.”

Nigel Williams, BEN’s head of national
development and a former motor finance professional, commented:
“Volunteering shows that BEN isn’t just about putting your hand in
your pocket and volunteers often leave with a greater sense of
community for their industry and a passion for the work that BEN
does.”
