BMW’s fleet grows
In BMW’s third quarter results, the company revealed that Alphabet, BMW Group’s fleet servicing arm, finished the third quarter with 537,355 contracts in place.

This was up 2.4% on the 524,612 recorded for the same period in 2013.
Overall, the results showed that BMW’s financial services grew 14.3% in the quarter, while BMW group as a whole saw profits fell.

Martin Evans, managing director of Jaama, said: "Traditional fleet management information and data gleaned via in-vehicle devices such as telematics and mobile apps is typically poles apart. The different technologies all have their place, however, fleet decision makers need to start with defining their business objectives before deciding what solution to implement.
iVendi: artificial divide between digital and Physical customers
Dealer strategies that divide customers into digital and physical customers are artificial and misunderstand the way people behave, iVendi has claimed.
The technology provider noted that nearly all digital customers end up visiting a dealership a few times, while physical customers usually also interact with dealerships online.
iVendi director James Tex said: "We talk to many dealers who tend to view customers as either older people who use their dealership in a traditional way or younger ones who are glued to online activity.
They do so because they are effectively bolting-on a digital capability to their existing business model. "However, this approach strikes us as much too extreme."
New truck for Marston
Brewer Marston has added an Isuzu Forward N75.190 7.5 tonne to its fleet in the South West of the UK.
The beer maker, famous for brands including Hobgoblin, said the vehicle would cover approximately 25,000 miles per annum and have a seven year working life.
