This will make it possible for fleet managers to obtain crucial data, including vehicle licence plate numbers, fuel type, mileage, price per litre, litres dispensed, and invoice details.

This solution is expected to ease the burden of accounting reconciliation and help businesses adhere to fiscal and regulatory standards.

Designed for compatibility with current acceptance networks, this fleet management payment solution aims to reduce the costs and time associated with implementation.

It will also be integrated with Fortech’s electronic invoicing platform, Fattura1Click, providing practical tools to reduce operating expenses, increase transparency, and promote sustainable mobility practices.

Plans are in place to initiate pilot projects for this new feature in Italy by 2026, with ambitions to extend its reach into other key European markets.

Fortech business head Massimo Banci said:  “Our expertise in data management and compliance, combined with Mastercard’s global reach, enables us to deliver real value to fleet customers across Italy and equip them with the tools required for the new era of mobility.”

Since its inception in 2006, Fortech has been delivering solutions that enhance the operational performance of individual service stations, fuel retail networks, and large-scale petrol companies in Italy.

Mastercard Italy country manager Luca Corti stated: “This collaboration highlights Mastercard’s commitment to supporting partners and businesses in driving innovation across key sectors — and, in this case, simplifying and improving fleet management and mobility.

“Together with Fortech, we are helping fleet managers and issuers more easily access the information they need to control costs, enhance transparency, and accelerate the transition toward smarter mobility.”
