Isuzu UK has formed a strategic partnership with the National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC), aiming to bolster the UK’s farming sector through enhanced vehicle support.
The NAAC, established in 1893, represents contractors who provide vital services to farmers across the country. This collaboration is seen as a key development in strengthening professionalism and innovation within the agricultural sector.
Jill Hewitt, Chief Executive of the NAAC, described the partnership as a “natural fit,” noting that NAAC members, who are professional agricultural contractors, require vehicles that are dependable and hardworking. Hewitt praised the Isuzu D-Max for its “robust capabilities, safety features, and comfort,” which align with the needs of their members.
George Wallis, Head of Marketing at Isuzu UK, echoed this sentiment, stating, “We are delighted to partner with the NAAC, an organisation that shares our commitment to professionalism and excellence.” Wallis emphasised that the partnership would set new standards for reliability, trust, and efficiency in the agricultural sector.
This collaboration comes as the agricultural industry faces challenges such as changing weather patterns, labour shortages, and the push towards sustainability. In response, Isuzu will offer NAAC members a fleet discount on multiple D-Max pick-ups, addressing the need for reliable and innovative vehicles.
Looking ahead, Isuzu plans to launch its first fully capable electric pick-up truck, further supporting the sector’s drive towards sustainability. The partnership aims to provide contractors with the tools they need to maintain productivity and ensure long-term success in the face of these challenges.
