Lex Autolease, Lloyds’ fleet arm, has leased the 60,000th vehicle through its broker division, eight months on from passing the 50,000 milestone.
The vehicle – a Mercedes Sprinter van – has been leased to Brighton-based Shutterly Fabulous, a manufacturer and supplier of premium wooden plantation window shutters founded in 2001.
The deal was secured through Vehicles 2 Lease (V2L), which has worked with Lex Autolease for the past three years.
Steve Cocks, director of Lex Autolease’s broker division, said: "The upward trend in vehicle leasing to the UK’s SMEs shows little sign of abating. It was only in September that we were celebrating a year-on-year rise of 31 per cent in our broker fleet and reaching the landmark figure of 50,000 vehicles."
