Gary Savage, managing director at Mercedes-Benz Cars, praised Mallery’s work, particularly at Brooklands and in expanding the brand’s driving academy and thanked George, who joins one of the marque’s retail partners, whose "expertise has played a major role in the growth of Passenger Car sales".

Mallery said he was excited to switch positions during "the biggest roll-out of new products in our history" and while the brand continued to change the way it market its products and services.

Likewise, Marcus Breitschwerdt, president and chief executive of Mercedes-Benz UK, welcomed Mallery’s experience during a "transformational time for our Passenger Car business."
