Modix, the digital marketing arm of Cox Automotive, has entered into a partnership with LivePerson Automotive for live chat and text services to dealers.
Modix will offer the LivePerson Automotive platform to car dealerships under the product name Modix Live Chat +. The product enables live chat conversations between dealers and the customers browsing their stock, both through manufacturer used vehicle locators (UVLs) and directly on the dealers’ websites.
Karl Rice, product lead at Modix said: “Modix Live Chat + allows consumers to connect with dealers wherever and whenever they’re shopping, via their preferred device or social platform.”
“Car shoppers have a wealth of browsing options and different needs, and while some are ready to talk payments and finance, others are just starting to compare vehicle models. Weaving human agents and bots together through LivePerson Automotive’s conversational commerce platform, we can guide and speed up the shopping experience while allowing dealers to focus on what they do best.”
Currently enabled across several manufacturer UVLs and dealer websites, Modix Live Chat + has driven up to a 50% increase in lead capture, and is a market leader in live chat technology.
“We’re excited to bring two great companies together to better serve our dealer and OEM partners, and the consumers they serve, by providing conversational commerce services,” said Thom Coupar-Evans, sales director for LivePerson Automotive UK.
“One of the most important aspects of our solution is the unique nature of our ecosystem and the range of world leading partners that we operate with.”
In February Modix entered into a partnership with Toyota for its search marketing product AdBox.
Modix launched AdBox in October 2017 following customer demand for a search marketing tool at a local dealership level. The product enables dealers to create vehicle adverts that are displayed direct to customers searching for new and used vehicles across the Google network. With a live feed directly from the dealer’s stock management system, search results displayed to consumers are intended to be relevant and local to their search.
