New and used car sales showed robust growth in June – up 16.5% and 27.4% year-on-year respectively, according to the latest data from Dealerweb.
The news comes as dealers operate under social distancing measures and have increased the amount of the sales process they conduct online while limiting the number of people allowed in showrooms.

The average value of used vehicles increased from £18,737 in June 2019 to £19,560 last month. The average new vehicle value increased from £28,404 to £31,589.

The study examined data from a sample of 800 franchised dealers across the UK.

Upchurch joined from e-payment software firm Cardstream, where she served as technical director. Prior to that, Upchurch held senior IT roles at Volvo and Aston Martin before joining Flybe as IT director.
