Yea’s 30 years in the motor industry began at
Kia’s compatriot marque and part-owner Hyundai, including roles
with Hyundai Motors America, before joining Kia in 1999.
After a series of senior management roles in
marketing and branding, Yea was made president of Kia in the Middle
East and Africa in 2010. His place there will be taken by Min-Kun
Kim, formerly president and CEO of Kia Australia, himself replaced
by Chong-Woo (Charlie) Kim his former co-ordinating director.
