UK vehicle and ownership information provider Experian Automotive has promoted Andrew Round to head of sales in the UK and Ireland.

Round moves from his position as head of retail accounts at Experian Plc, held since 2007. Until December 2010, Round was also strategic accounts manager at Experian Automotive.

Round will now hold responsibility for the strategic developments of the Automotive sales team, working on client relationships and promoting sales of the company’s products and services.

The automotive arm of the credit reference agency recently launched its Finance Alerts monitoring feature for dealers and car finance companies among multiple product and data innovations planned for 2013.

Alistair Scullion, managing director of Experian Automotive in the UK and Ireland, said Round’s appointment was part of the company’s plans for the year: "Andrew’s leadership skills and expertise will play a pivotal role in helping us deliver our products and services successfully to the market, further enhancing our position as experts in the industry."
