Andrew Cope has joined UK broker Synergy Automotive as a non-executive director.

Cope was one of the co-founders of Zenith back in 1989, leaving the fleet provider in 2014, having led the business through five private equity buyouts.

Since then, Cope has taken on a number of senior board positions, and was involved in a management buyout of incident management and roadside recovery specialist FMG in 2015.

In its previous year, Synergy leased over £29m worth of vehicles at retail value, and plans to increase this by over 30% to £42m this year.

Founded in 2006, the credit broker offers leasing options for business and consumers.
