Kia Motors (UK) has appointed David Ovenden as sales director, responsible for the brand’s franchised retail network including consumer, fleet, new and used cars.
Ovenden will oversee a staff of 42 and report to Yaser Shabsogh, who was appointed as commercial director from the role of sales director at Kia in February.

Ovenden will also report to the Kia board on the development of corporate strategy and growth.
Ovenden holds more than two decades’ worth of experience in motor finance, sales and aftersales, much of which was gained at the Volkswagen Group, including six years as head of operations at koda.
