Richard Jones, managing director of Black Horse, has been named as the new chairman of the Finance & Leasing Association (FLA).
Jones was already a board director at the FLA before taking on the chairman role.

The appointment followed a strong first quarter in 2017. In it, motor finance volumes rose 5% overall to over 793,800 cars, while the amount of asset finance business done in the period grew 9% year-on-year to £8bn.
He has replaced outgoing chairman Nigel Clibbens, whose term has ended.
It was announced last night at Saddlers Hall in London by Stephen Sklaroff, director general of the FLA, who also updated the crowd on the FLA’s progress.
Sklaroff said: “Richard is taking over as chairman of the FLA at a particularly important time for the industry, with the prospect of a new government and the start of detailed negotiations on the UK’s exit from the EU. Richard’s experience – including on the FLA’s Board – will be invaluable as we continue make the industry’s case to politicians, our regulators and our many stakeholders. I look forward very much to working with him.”
