Using the company’s own inspection software,
the process is intended to standardise inspections across the
organisation and speed up the end of lease procedure.

Vehicle inspections usually take around an
hour, and after which the vehicle can be made available for auction
as soon as 24 hours.

The service is provided within SMA’s fleet
management department which provides vehicle remarketing services
for blue chip leasing companies, including management of vehicle
storage, refurbishment and auctions.

SMA managing director Bob Anderson, said: “The
feedback and uptake has been quite amazing, and vindicates the
value of really engaging with customers in our product development
process.”
