A major player in Australia and New
Zealand in the area of specialist software for the automotive
sector has launched a UK business unit.

Turners NetResult (TNR) has achieved what it described as
“market saturation” in the Antipodes for its software product
offering, which are aimed at wholesale financiers, auction houses,
remarketers and dealer groups.

TNR is to market three products in the UK. Mobile Auditor
provides stock audits “from scheduling to payment reconciliation”
and is able to interface with wholesale financiers’ systems
directly from mobile hand-held devices, such as PDAs, cutting out
manual processes and reducing costs, said Brad Sayer, TNR’s general
manager, UK & Europe. AutoCheck, another PDA-oriented system,
allows remarketers, auctioneers and dealers to complete “full
pre-purchase, end-of-term and fair wear and tear inspections”, TNR
said, which can be transmitted via email or fax, or printed
remotely from the inspection site.

Finally, AutoBuy enables buyers for dealer groups to receive
instant valuations while on the auction floor, with the details of
newly-purchased stock then uploaded automatically to the DMS, which
TNR claimed will reduce stock holding times, and will improve
forecasting and reporting. “Automatic uploading makes it less
likely for human error to creep into data transmissions, as well as
streamlining operations for buyers, sellers and funders,” said
Sayer.
