Lex Autolease, the UK’s largest fleet
provider, is to supply chilled foods giant Dairy Crest with 1,000
commercial vehicles and 500 cars, in a deal worth £35 million.
The three year sole supply arrangement will
see Dairy Crest’s milk delivery fleet augmented with a mixture of
Ford and Mercedes CVs, on maintenance-inclusive contract hire
agreements.

The deal was arranged by Lex Autolease’s
Specialist Commercial Vehicle Unit.
Ian Sorensen, warehouse and distribution
category manager at Dairy Crest, said: “By consolidating our
suppliers and by working in close consultation with Lex Autolease’s
team of experts, we have been able to effectively increase
efficiency and drive down our fleet costs. As a company we
already have a great working relationship with Lloyds Banking Group
and it is has been good to extend this further with Lex
Autolease.”
