Lombard Vehicle Management (LVM) is to supply
road signage contractor ERH Communications with a 150-strong fleet
of vans and cars in a three-year deal, the lessor announced.
The majority of the fleet will be provided on
contract hire, with 15 units to be leased back.

“All will be run on contract hire but over a mix of
24 and 36 months depending on how usage develops – mileage is being
pooled and LVM will meet ERH every six months to assess every
vehicle and schedule the agreement accordingly,” LVM explained.
The lessor is also to provide GAP insurance for the
vehicles, a mixture of Mercedes-Benz Vito and Sprinter and Vauxhall
Combo vans, and estate cars.
ERH previously bought its vehicles outright, but
switched to leasing to ensure its fleet would be newer, low-mileage
models with less need for maintenance.
Meanwhile, civil engineering company
Keltbray has agreed a contract with LVM, whereby the lessor will
provide it with more than 30 VW Crafter and Vauxhall Corsa vans, on
contract hire with full maintenance.

By GlobalDataThe vehicles, which will be fitted with speed
limiters, electronic tachographs and ply-lining, are destined for
use by Keltbray’s Pectel division, which deals with hazardous waste
disposal.
Keltbray is a corporate banking customer of LVM’s
parent RBS, and an existing customer of LVM’s fleet management and
leasing services. A Keltbray spokesman said the company had tried
out other leasing partners for due diligence’s sake, but that it
returned to LVM thanks to its “first-rate service”.
LVM has also delivered 40 vans to Asbestos
Consultants to the Environment (ACE), after identifying ways in
which the firm could improve its procurement and customisation
processes.
The vans are a mix of Ford Transit Connects, and
Citroën Nemos, and are operated on a sole-supply contract hire
basis with full maintenance.
