The deal will see MAG’s 45-strong car fleet sold and leased
back to the airports operator, with a certain number of excess
vehicles disposed of through LVM.

The leased-back vehicles, and any vehicles provided
subsequently through the deal, will be fitted with LVM’s Lombard
Fleet Tracker tool, and will be covered by an accident management
agreement.

The cars will be run over four years/60,000 miles, and the
scheme is being extended initially to a further 80 MAG employees,
with the possibility of adding another 2,500 employees at MAG’s
airports in Humberside, Bournemouth and East Midlands in the
future.

Fleet drivers are free to choose “any vehicle”, LVM said,
although staff are encouraged to opt for models with CO2 emissions
of under 160g/km.

“We wanted an arrangement which would allow us to outsource some of
the fleet management responsibility but also improve our
environmental efficiency and help us provide better duty of care
for our drivers,” said MAG procurement category manager Simon
Greene.

“LVM’s solution has given us that and more. Lombard Fleet
Tracker alone helps meet all three objectives, and we now have an
efficient and attractive fleet offering,” he added
