Mark Lovett has joined Lex as commercial
vehicle director. He will head up and expand the company’s
37,000-unit commercial vehicle fleet and joins from Renault UK
where he was responsiblefor developing its light commercial vehicle
dealership programme. Immediately prior to joining Lex, Lovett
spent some 18 months with Renault’s alliance partner Nissan Motor
GB where he was responsible for the overall sales and marketing of
its commercial vehicle products.
LLOYDS TSB AUTOLEASE
Nigel Trotman has joined Lloyds TSB Autolease’s
consultancy team. He joins from the Whitbread Group where he
operated for some 14 years in fleet management, winning industry
accolades including the Energy Saving Trust’s Green Fleet Hero 2007
award and Fleet News’ Fleet of the Year 2008.

Hopcroft to operations director. Hopcroft joined the
company in 2000 as an account manager and has since worked in a
variety of roles. Previously, she worked in marketing for American
Express, in recruitment as a technical consultant and in sales for
a publishing company.
NEXUS VEHICLE RENTAL
Vicki Gravely, formerly head of key accounts
for National Car Rental, has joined Nexus Vehicle Rental in the new
position of sales director. She will lead both the field-based
sales force and the telesales team based at Nexus head office in
Leeds.
CHRYSLER UK
Chrysler UK has appointed Federico Goretti to
managing director. Goretti was formerly managing director Chrysler
Italy and most recently international project director, Chrysler
LLC. He brings to the job a broad range of international sales and
marketing experience having worked for a number of different auto
manufacturers in Japan and the UK, as well as Italy.
MITSUBISHI UK
Mitsubishi UK has announced the appointment of Nick
Palmer to the role of director of aftersales and
Stephen Blackburn to director of business
development with effect from 1 August.
Palmer comes from Suzuki GB where he was sales and marketing
director with responsibility for its motorcycle, al-terrain vehicle
and marine divisions. Blackburn will continue as director of
business development, a part-time role, and as a main board member.
His main responsibilities will be to develop the company’s dealer
property strategy and oversee its pension fund.
SKODA
Skoda has a recruited Julie Evetts as head of
aftersales. She takes over from Chris Daniell who
is retiring this summer after 34 years with the company. Evetts has
spent the last 10 years with the Volkswagen Group where she held a
number of senior roles in all areas of business from retail and
brand management to fleet sales and customer service.
ALAMO RENT A CAR
Alamo Rent A Car has promoted Amy Dorrington to
marketing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. She was
worked with the company for the past four years and moves into the
role from the position of online marketing manager.
AVIS UK
Kim Baxter is to join Avis UK on 1 September as
fleet director. She joins from Avis France where she was
responsible for developing and implementing a partnership approach
strategy with manufacturers and fleet suppliers. Anthony
Ainsworth has been appointed as the new UK sales director
responsible for all corporate, leasing and insurance business.
Previously he was responsible for retail banking at Abbey in the
South East and doubling sales volume for his business at Lloyds
TSB.
Roger Evans, formerly head of strategic accounts
and replacement at Avis Europe takes up the new position of UK
national accounts director reporting to Ainsworth. He recently
negotiated a number of multi-national contracts for Avis
Europe.
1LINK HIRE NETWORK
Craig Moran has been appointed as sales manager
for the 1Link Hire Network daily rental e-commerce platform. He has
worked in the fleet industry for over 25 years in a variety of
sales roles, most recently as the head of business development for
Nexus Vehicle Management.
David Goodyear has joined 1Link Disposal Network
as business development manager as the company anticipates steady
growth over the coming months in the number of ex-fleet used cars
available to dealers through the company’s e-commerce platform. At
the same time Victoria Edwards has been appointed
business development executive, coming from a service industry
background.
CFC SOLUTIONS
There are two new appointments this month at CFC Solutions.
Kelly Pinner has been appointed sales co-ordinator
and Natasha Loftus as sales and marketing services
administrator.
Pinner’s previous experience includes sales roles at Country Choice
foods and, in her spare time, she plays for Coventry City Ladies
Football Club. Loftus previously worked for Masterlease and the
Robert Horne Group, but most recently has been undertaking
voluntary work at The Millennium Elephant Foundation in Sri
Lanka.
FRONTLINE SOLUTIONS
Steve Heins has joined Frontline Solutions as
operations director. Principal director Andy Shuter explained that
Heins brings a “huge amount of experience including work for some
major organisations such as HSBC and GE Capital”. He also was a key
contributor in Frontline Solutions’ early days to the company’s
DealTrak Broker system.
JAAMA
Jaama has re-structured its management team. Managing director
Jason Francis explained that this includes the
recent recruitment of Henk Wobbes as customer
services manager and Annette Nally as training
officer. Elizabeth Pinson joined on 4 August as
senior project manager, and operations director Adrian
Morris takes a new brief as product and quality
manager.
The management team is completed by Martin Evans,
sales director, Michelle Morgan, implementation
manger and Ellie Whiten, marketing manager.
