The face of car leasing is rapidly evolving as
customers seek new “lifestyle” models for the summer months ahead,
according to short-term leasing specialist Equalease.
Customers are now placing orders for leases of
“prestige saloons, estates, sports coupes and even convertibles”
that do not start until the summer, Equalease said.

Previously, during the winter months,
customers’ favourites were 4x4s, said managing director Paul
Ashton.
Equalease’s short-term leases, which last
between three months and a year, are said to be cheaper than daily
rental costs. They include a standard annual mileage allowance of
15,000 miles a year or 1,250 miles a month and include all
maintenance, breakdown recovery and road fund licence.
