Arval has reported strong growth in its leased fleet of 8.7 per
cent in 2007, against the background of a total fleet leasing
market that grew by only 1.7 per cent.
Arval currently leases some 538,000 vehicles, with a managed
fleet of another 90,000, meaning it operates 628,000 vehicles
overall and is the second-largest European fleet lessor. The size
of its managed fleet fell by 22 per cent over the period, following
a change of strategy, and due to the transfer of many management
contracts to long-term rental, Arval said.
