The diesel 308 Active Blue 1.6l HDi 120 has an RV of 34.40%, compared to a segment average of 32.69%, meaning the car will be worth a predicted £6,550 after three years.
On average, CAP’s September data also shows the updated 308’s RV will also be 9.3% higher than the outgoing 308.
Peugeot follows fellow French manufacturer Renault in claiming a strong RV for one of its products since CAP launched a ‘radical transformation’ to RV forecasting in June.
Service, maintenance and repair costs are also predicted to fall for the 308, and service intervals across the range have risen from 12,500 to 16,000 miles.
Peugeot attributed strong sales to finance in July, and proceeded to introduce finance offers in August and September.
