MG&G stresses that its list is based
purely on the number of claims and not their average value, which
it admits may produce a different list.

The company compiled its statistics after
analysing all its warranty claims over the past year.

Director Kevin Pearce said: “With a knowledge
of which cars generate the least warranty claims, dealers can make
more informed decisions about which cars they want to sell. It is
good for the dealer to be perceived as investing in buying reliable
used cars, as it will increase the consumer’s trust in them and
keep them coming back for aftersales, services and
repairs.”
