The top ten fastest selling models in the Northwest and London took an average of 15 and 16 days to sell, respectively, on Autotrader, compared to a national average of 20.7 days.
The fastest selling model in London was the 2011 BMW 3 Series Saloon, which took an average of nine days to sell, while 2014 Ford Galaxy’s sold after an average of just six days in the North West.

The only car to be the fastest selling model in two regions was the Nissan Qashqai, which sold after an average of 28 days in the South East and 38 days in Wales.
Karolina Edwards-Smajda, Auto Trader director of retailer & consumer products, said: "In London, the North West and Scotland, cars in the top ten took an average of less than 20 days to sell. However, when looking at the East of England, Wales and the South West, we found that they took more than twice as long to leave forecourts: the average top ten model taking more than 40 days to turn."
The 20.7 national top ten average selling times was itself down on the average of 22 days recorded in May. Autotrader also revealed that the average price of the national top ten fell from £14,953 to £9,450, month-on-month.
Of all of Mays national fastest sellers, the Vauxhall Insignia hatchback was the only model to return to Autotraders top ten national fastest selling list.
