BCA will be expanding its online Top Car sale programme with a new fortnightly schedule, following successful events in recent weeks.

Sales are staged entirely online with buyers logging in via BCA Online or the BCA Buyer app to bid for stock.

BCA will now host online Top Car sales on successive Thursdays from 25 June onwards, with vehicles currently being consigned for sale as far ahead as 9 and 23 July.   All Top Car sales start at 1pm.

Entry is confirmed from specialist sellers of prestige, performance and luxury vehicles including Porsche Financial Services, Bentley Financial Services, UKcgr, BCA Outsourced Solutions and Alphera.

There will also be stock entered from fleet, finance and dealer vendors, all typically valued in excess of £25,000 with a comprehensive service history and warranted mileage.  Vehicles on offer include Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Porsche, Tesla and Volvo models.

The first two Top Car sales generated significant interest among BCA’s professional buyer base, with nearly 1,200 buyers participating in each sale.  Average selling price peaked at just under £38,000 across the two sales.  Strong sellers included a 2018-registered Lamborghini Aventador for £193,000 and an 18/18 Lamborghini Hurracan for £143,000, with a 2019 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT63S realising £95,000.

Stuart Pearson chief operating officer at BCA UK Remarketing, said: “BCA continues to keep the motor industry moving with the widest choice of stock in the wholesale marketplace, available through a variety of online channels that support all buying preferences.  The Top Car sale is a unique event in the remarketing calendar and, with growing interest from buyers and sellers, we’re very pleased to be able to launch this additional regular sale.

“Currently all sales remain online only and we will notify our customers when we feel it’s safe to start holding physical auctions again. We’re keeping close to the latest government guidance in order to protect our people, customers and suppliers. We’ll look to restart physical auctions when appropriate.”

BCA revealed recently that it is offering a record volume of used vehicles on its online platform, with up to 5,000 cars being on sale on a single day.

BCA also reported rising activity across the board with more buyers competing online, higher volumes offered for sale, an increase in conversions and improving performance against CAP and in average selling price.
