Car finance specialist CarMoney has named Adam Watson as its new regional sales manager for Lancashire, as part of its continuing push to expand support for independent dealers across the UK.

Watson, who has spent more than 25 years in the motor retail sector, moves from dealership management into the broker arena. His career includes long stints as salesperson, business manager and sales manager, with “a decade in each” of his last two leadership roles.

In his new position, he will be responsible for onboarding and managing relationships with independent dealers in Lancashire, offering “fast and flexible finance solutions” tailored to help them grow.

“I’ve worked in the dealer world for 26 years and was ready for a new challenge,” said Watson. “It’s a completely different environment from retail… I know how important speed and simplicity are to dealers, and I’m focused on delivering exactly that.”

The appointment forms part of CarMoney’s plan to reach £730m in annual vehicle finance by 2029. It follows the recent hiring of Kevin Forster to lead operations in the North East.

CEO Alastair Grier said Watson’s first-hand experience was “a real asset” to the field sales team, adding: “He understands dealer priorities and speaks their language.”
