UK law firm DWF has launched wholly owned subsidiary 15squared, with the aim of developing and selling technology-driven products to clients.
15squared is borne out of Claimbase, a company acquired through the firm’s merger with Fishburns in 2013. 15squared offers its clients DWF Pinpoint, a software application which provides a secure online repository for documents and data. This product enables clients to manage their asset portfolios through live status updates, data reporting and visual representation of assets.

In addition, the company launched DWF Notify, an incident notification app that communicates alerts throughout an organisation.
The establishment of 15squared is part of a DWFs strategy to expand and diversify its services. Last month the firm altered its business model to include a centralised legal support centre with paralegals, a contract lawyer service as well as a consultancy offering for clients planning to develop their own in-house teams.
DWF’s chief technology officer Richard Hodkinson said: "15squared has been launched in direct response to changes in client demand, which is for more tailored, technology-driven services that help them do business. DWF has built a reputation as being at the forefront of innovation and has invested heavily in its in-house technology in order to deliver legal services differently, and the launch of 15squared as an independent entity allows us to focus on identifying market needs and bringing these services to DWF’s clients and the wider market with greater efficiency and value than ever before."
