Lex Autolease agrees deal with house builder

The UK’s largest fleet leasing company Lex Autolease, has struck a deal with Cumbrian house builder Story Homes to supply their fleet of company cars.
The business will supply cars to about 50% of employees.
Designed to be part of Story Homes employee benefits scheme, Lex will supply a choice of hatchback, saloon and executive vehicles to eligible employees.
Manheim auctions £1 million of HGVs

By GlobalDataUK based remarketing group Manheim sold over £1m (1.18m) worth of HGVs in a single auction for the first time in October.
Of the vehicles on offer, 76% were sold including 18 2009 registered 460 Globetrotter XLs and nine 2008 registered 440 Globetrotters.
The co-operative group also sold 40 tractor units and fridge boxes at the sale.
Third Lex and Manheim ‘mega sale’
Lex Autolease and remarketing group Manheim have agreed another "mega sale" of the fleet lessor’s ex-lease stock.
For the third year running the vehicle auctioneer will hold a sale of more than 1,000 ex-fleet vehicles from the Lloyds Banking Group subsidiary, ranging from small passenger cars to caravans, motorcycles and light commercial vehicles.
The auction will be held at Manheim’s Colchester site on Saturday 19 October at 10.30am with buyers also able to bid online using Manheim’s Simulcast platform.
The 2012 sale saw more than £7.2m (8.5m) worth of stock on sale and Mark Taylor, general manager at Manheim Colchester said they were hoping to break that record this year.
Northgate adds to Heatforce fleet
Northgate Vehicle Hire has added 16 more vehicles to Welsh plumbing company Heatforce’s fleet.
The deal comes on top of an earlier agreement between the two companies and the plumbing firm has now taken their order from 13 to 29 vehicles.
The vehicles will be a mix of Peugeot Partners, Bippers and long wheel base transit 350s and takes Heatforce’s total fleet to over 100 vehicles.
