European consumers are showing an increasing appetite for semi-autonomous technologies, according to a Ford Motor Company study on car buying trends in Europe.
Looking at cars sold in 22 European countries, Ford found that one in three of its cars sold in the past year came with Ford’s Active Park Assist feature, while 13% used it’s Active City Stop Technology (up from 7% the year before).

Over half (52%) of Fords sold had Adaptive Cruise Control, up from 48%, while the number of cars sold with Lane Keeping Aid technologies rose by 20%.
Ford’s voice-activated connected system ‘Sync’, which was first introduced in 2012, was in 78% of all Fords sold in 2014.
The manufacturer said: "Autonomous vehicles may still be a way down the road, but drivers across Europe are showing an increasing appetite for the semi-autonomous technologies that are the building blocks of tomorrow’s cars."
The survey also found that white was the most popular colour across Europe, above black and silver. In the UK, however blue was the most popular colour for Fords.
