Jigcar has appointed automotive executive Jon Pollock as its new Commercial Director, as part of the company’s ongoing expansion strategy.

Pollock brings more than 30 years of automotive experience to the AI-driven vehicle transport start-up, having held senior roles at McLaren Automotive, Nissan Motor GB, Toyota GB, and Aston Martin. His previous positions include Global Sales Director at McLaren, Managing Director for its Europe region, and Global Head of Sales at Aston Martin.

Jigcar CEO and Co-Founder Elliott Perks said the company is “delighted to solidify” Pollock’s role, having already worked with him in a consultancy capacity since the firm’s launch. “Jon’s extensive industry experience has already been pivotal to Jigcar’s early success in the UK,” Perks added, noting that his appointment comes at a “critical time” as the business accelerates its scale-up.

Pollock described the new role as “a privilege,” and said he was excited to bring his corporate experience to a “young, dynamic start-up.” He added that his priority will be to grow Jigcar’s reach among the top 100 dealer groups and establish new partnerships with OEMs, leasing companies, and rental vendors.

The appointment follows other high-profile leadership additions, including Simon Bottomley as Chairman and James Griffin — formerly Head of Logistics at Cazoo — as Transport Director.
