Duncan Movassaghi has been named the next director of Skoda UK, effective from 4 January.
He has replaced Alasdair Stewart, who has moved to take up a senior assignment within Volkswagen Group UK.
Movassaghi first joined Volkswagen Group in 2010 after a career in the pharmaceutical and banking sectors. His most recent role was head of service and parts operations for Volkswagen Passenger Cars, and was head of sales operations for Skoda UK before that.
Movassaghi said: "I’m excited to be returning to KODA. The development of the brand over the past few years has been extremely impressive, and with the recent launches of the new Fabia and Superb, KODA has a strong and enviable model line-up."
Skoda sales fell slightly over the first 11 months of 2015 (by 1.4%), according to The Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT). For more data on UK registrations, please visit the Motor Finance SMMT Market data section.
