French-based RCI Banque generated €534m (£382.7m) of revenue in the third quarter of 2015, down 2.2% year-on year.

Renault attributed the fall the first in 2015, to lower interest rates in Europe and a drop in some currencies.

Thanks to growth in the first and second quarters, however, RCI Banque’s revenues for the first nine months of 2015 were still up 2.4%, year-on-year, at €1.6bn.

Renault Group registrations grew 1.2% year-on-year to 620,525 units, resulting in €8,802m in revenue.

In Europe, Renault Group registrations increased by 6.5% year-on-year, with the manufacturer highlighting its 22.3% growth in the UK over the period as a highlight. It also witnessed growth of over 20% in Poland, Portugal and the Netherlands.

Despite this, its overall market share on the continent fell from 9.3% in Q3 2014 to 9.0% in Q3 2015, due to overall market growth.
