Santander Consumer UK has appointed Russell Forbes as Sales Director, tasking him with expanding its leasing and contract hire operations. He joins the lender from Audi UK, where he held the role of National Contract Hire and Leasing Manager.
Forbes brings over two decades of experience in the automotive industry. Before joining Audi, he was Used Car Remarketing Manager at Nissan Motor GB, having started his career in retail at the Phoenix Car Company.

Santander Consumer UK entered the corporate leasing and contract hire market in 2017 and now holds the eighth-largest fleet in the UK. The company aims to triple its fleet by the end of the decade and become a top-five player in the sector.
Aaron Cardoso, Head of Leasing at Santander, said Forbes “brings a wealth of knowledge” to the business and will “ensure the momentum we have achieved will accelerate” as the company expands its leasing operations.
Forbes described the move as “an opportunity to lead the next stage” of growth and said he looked forward to “building existing partnerships and establishing new ones.”
