Thurlow Nunn has appointed start-up Jigcar to streamline vehicle logistics across its 15-showroom network, following a successful three-month pilot that delivered measurable improvements in cost and efficiency.

According to a press release, the partnership aims to cut unnecessary mileage and enhance scheduling for the UK dealer group, which operates in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Launched in 2024 by former Cazoo colleagues Elliott Perks, Rupert Wood and Jackson Jacob, Jigcar uses AI-driven software to match and pair vehicle movements, reducing duplicated journeys and eliminating wasteful empty-mile trips.

CEO Elliott Perks said the technology has already delivered results. “We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of monthly paired vehicle movements at Thurlow Nunn,” he said, adding that many dealer groups still rely on inefficient one-way trips involving multiple drivers.

“What we’re doing is matching those movements up, so one driver completes both legs of a journey — reducing wages and public transport costs,” Perks explained.

Simon Gylls, Director of Thurlow Nunn, praised the platform for offering real-time intelligence backed by expert human support. “It’s like having an on-demand automotive logistics expert,” he said. “We’re already seeing tangible efficiencies and now have much better visibility into our logistics performance.”
