Motors.co.uk, the used car advertising website owned by the Manheim Group, recorded 2.1 million unique visitors in July.
The July results were followed by a rise in dealer tie-ins and vehicle listings by the site in August, although figures were not available, and the Manheim said it will make a ‘multi-million pound’ investment in Motors.co.uk over the next 12 months.

A fully responsive version of the website has also been launched to work with any device or screen size – a strategy which car finance IT provider iVendi recently advocated, rather than investing in smartphone applications – and the company has doubled its monthly expenditure on online advertising and begun its first television advertising campaign, announced at the start of August.
In a statement, the company said advertising was aimed at increasing the response for its panel of dealers, while continuing to provide ‘transparent motor retailing’.
Andy Coulthurst, managing director, said: "We will be providing an even stronger volume of enquiries than we have delivered before and that is our main focus."
