The deal will see IFS managing a fleet of cars and commercial
vehicles for the MCA, and “arranging fleet maintenance, fitting out
replacement vehicles, arranging maintenance of boat trailers,
[disposing] of surplus vehicles and accident management for the
fleet of about 400 vehicles and 200 trailers,” according to the
contract award notice.

The fleet is dispersed across the whole of the UK, including
offshore islands, with four wheel drive vehicles and estate cars
comprising the majority of the vehicles.

Short-term and spot rental services were also specified in the
contract terms; IFS won the deal as its offering was deemed the
most economic.
