The BVRLA has joined Brussels-based Leaseurope as a new
member.
The trade association for the vehicle rental and leasing
industry in the UK said the new membership will help protect the
interests of UK rental and leasing businesses at EU level.

BVRLA chief executive John Lewis said: “With an ever-increasing
tide of EU legislation we decided that membership of Leaseurope was
an investment we had to make in order to protect our members’
interests.”
He added: “Leaseurope has an important profile in the European
arena and provides strong representation across our three sectors
of membership – leasing, rental and commercial vehicles.”
Leaseurope chair Rüdiger von Fölkersamb said that by joining
forces the European leasing and automotive rental industry was “in
a better position to face them”.
He said he expected the BVRLA would bring a “valuable
contribution” to the association and help in the European
policy-shaping process.
