green’?
A survey by research company Vox Pops International has found that
the majority of business car drivers would be happy to trade in
their “gas guzzling” vehicles for something with less of an
environmental impact. Employees who drove more than 15,000 miles
per year were especially keen to change, according to the
study.

Vox Pops said: “The research also shows that there is no
correlation between the type of car driven now and the willingness
to switch. Drivers of higher status cars, like Mercedes and BMW,
are just as likely to switch as those driving less status conscious
car brands.”
Managing director John Earnshaw said: “It may only be guilt,
but whatever the reason, fleet car drivers are willing and keen to
do their bit and make a change.
“A badge on the car which says ‘I care’ seems to be more
important than a badge which says ‘I drive a flashy car’.”
