David Webster, a specialist in street
lighting and highway infrastructure installations, has introduced a
greener approach to driving since it began monitoring the fuel
efficiency of 123 vehicles with TRACKER.
David Webster head of procurement and
logistics Simon Haymen said the company wanted to monitor fuel
usage to ensure that its “green credentials were adopted throughout
the business”.

He added: “Initially we invested in
fleet tracking solutions to ensure our staff were safe on the road.
Excessive speed increases the odds for an accident, therefore, we
started to monitor driver behaviour to pinpoint any staff who were
speeding excessively and find out why.
Haymen said TRACKER “also helped [the company] understand how
long staff had been on the road and to ensure they were taking the
correct amount of break time.”
