The chief executive of Pendragon has
called for the government to extend the £2,000 scrappage
scheme.
Trevor Finn said that the scheme
had given the retail group “reason for some guarded optimism”, with
July’s new car registrations up 2.4 percent compared with the same
month in 2008.
